In 1984 a dynamic group of area artists saw Flint’s need for a creative space that would showcase innovative contemporary art, both visual and performance. The result of their collective effort was the establishment of Buckham Gallery.

On January 11, 2019, Buckham Gallery will transition into a new location at 600 S Saginaw Street. As we move forward and start our next chapter, please join the members of Buckham Gallery as we spend one last evening in the venue where it all started 34 1/2 years ago. View archives and art from the early years.

6 – 9 PM during Flint’s 2nd Friday Art Walk. Across the street, the new Buckham Gallery will be hosting their first opening reception, Chapter 2: The Premiere Exhibition.

Public invited. Complimentary beverages and snacks served.

This activity is supported in part by an award from the Michigan Council For Arts and Cultural Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
